Tapola is a satellite village of Mahabaleshwar about 25 Kms down the valley. A rustic hamlet famed as the 'Mini Kashmir' Tapola is an ideal destination for a back to nature experience. Tapola River Camp center is a campsite where accommodation is arranged in tents equipped with flush toilets. It has a huge covered dining hall where delicious home made food with the flavor of the land is served.

If you are a water sports enthusiast Tapola is the place to head to. Be it boating, water scooter rides, kayaking or swimming the 90Km long water body will certainly not make you feel confined. Tapola is the base camp for one of the most exhilarating treks that one can go for in Maharashtra. Vasota fort located with in the Koyna wild life sanctuary is completely cut off from civilization and can be reached only in a boat. Koyna Agro Tourism organizes the Vasota trek including the necessary permissions from the forest authorities.

Nice place to visit. I had been their with family in Nov end. Prefer to be with two three families. Water body is huge
