Karde

The Karde beach is a very broad and long beach and extends far upto Burundi and Murud Harnai on either sides. Long walks in Karde can be really long if you are staying at the beach. You could also try riding your two wheeler along the beach to the adjoining beaches during low tides if you have travelled by a two wheeler. Towards the southern side of Karde is Ladghar and towards the north is Murud Harnai.

Karde is amongst the most popular beaches in Dapoli however the route to Karde can be slightly confusing. From Dapoli one needs to travel further ahead towards Anjarle. Approximately 10 Kms from Dapoli you would find the sighboard to Durga Devi temple, take this left turn until the tourist toll booth as you enter the tourist village. Take the left ahead of the toll booth to reach Karde.

Ladghar or 'Tamas Theertha' is another popular beach in dapoli. By road Ladghar is close to about 25 Kms from Karde however if you decide to walk along the beach its just about 2-3 Kms. During low tide you can also ride your two wheeler over the rocky stretches to reach Ladghar in less than 10 minutes however check with the localites to ensure the low tide timings to avoid getting stuck!
