Bhogwe

Bhogwe beach is amongst the prettiest and most secluded beaches in Konkan. Located on the Sagari Mahamarg connecting Malvan to Vengurla Bhogwe has Nivati as its neighbour. Bhogwe beach is the unending stretch of beach to the north of Nivati fort. The beach is scattered with rocks and if you plan to take a dip take a close look before you venture into the sea to avoid the rocks. The sea near Bhogwe has visibility is more than 6-8 feets

Bhogwe is well connected to the other parts of the state and is just about 20 Kms off the National Higway (NH 17). One needs to get off the NH 17 at Kudal from where Bhogwe is approximately 20 Kms. Gaganbawda ghat route is the best route connecting Kolhapur and Pune to NH 17 meeting NH17 near Kankavli. Bhogwe can be approached from Malvan also via an undulating jungle route

Nivati fort today is in ruins although some of the walls of the fort are still in good condition. The ground is covered with thorny bushes. The fort is located on 50m high ground from the sea and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea and the beach. There is a moat around the fort. Nivati fort provides beautiful views of Bhogwe & Nivati beach and the sea. There also is a perennial spring in the fort.
