If you are driving from Pune to Diveagar the best route is the Mulshi route passing through the tamhini ghats. Try to avaoid the ghats after evening as there are no shops for a very long distance and is very deserted. From Mumbai to Diveagar it is the NH17 that has to be taken uptil Mangaon.
