Around Manori

Madh Island would have been a peninsula, but for a small creek hemmed in mangroves had not separated it from the mainland near Aksa. Madh Island is a cluster of some old-world fishing villages and farmlands, nestled cozily on the north-west coast of Mumbai. Madh Fort, built by the Portuguese, is the prime attraction apart from the beach. A Portuguese church that dates back to the 16th century with colored window panes is another site to visit on the island.

Marve is one of the closest and quietest beaches near Mumbai conspicuous with the absence of the chaotic crowd of vendors that are so common to Mumbai beaches. The beach, roads and overall culture of Marve is very similar to Goa and the place provides a mini-Goa experience within the boundaries of Mumbai city. Marve is just across the creek and can be reached by ferry.

Essel world and Water Kingdom is asia's largest theme park and boasts of the largest wave pool in the world which is spread across 100 meters. With exciting water slides, multi purpose water play system aquadromes and numerous food outlets this place is great fun not just for kids but adults too! Essel World is approximately 10 Kms from Manori near the Gorai beach and Gorai creek.
