Located about a quarter of a mile off the coast from Harnai port is the fascinating Suvarnadurg Fort

A rocky island, Suvarnadurg is about 8 acres big with stone wall bastions. The sea-gate depicts carved figures of a tiger, eagle and elephants and fifteen old guns have also been located in the fort. Suvarnadurg is cetainly a must visit during your Dapoli vacation

Built in 1150 and later renovated during 1768 to 1780 this ganesh temple atop a hill invokes deep relegious fervour amongst its devotees. "Ujwya Sondecha Ganpati" the Ganesh idol is a rarity with its trunk turned towards its right side. At a vantage point this temple is a tourist delight offering expansive view of the area and is well worth a visit during your holidays even if you aren't the most ardent devotee..
