Around-Toranmal

There are many ancient temples in Toranmal. The Torna devi temple on top of a hill is amongst the most popular temples here with a very old idol of Torna devi. Local legen places the idol to be over 500 yrs old. The Gorakhnath temple which comes into prominence during shivrathri when a jatra is organized every year is another important temple in Toranmal. The Shiva temple on the way to to Sita Khai is another prominent temple in Toranmal.

Sita Khai is approximately 2 Kms from Toranmal is a must visit during your stay in Toranmal especially if you are visiting Toranmal during monsoons or just after monsoons when the the Sita Khai waterfalls would be in all its rage. The water gushes from the lotus lake and emties itself into the gorge forming the Sita Khai water falls. The lotus lake with a lot of lotus flowers is also worth a visit.

Toranmal is a beautiful plateau surrounded by hills of the Satpura range and offers some very panoramic views. All the view points are not named and exploring the trails of Toranmal may reqard you with some exquisite views of the hills and valleys. The sunset point, Echo Point, Aawashbari Point, Nagarjun Point, Khadki Point and Saat Paira Point are some points which you couldn't miss!!
