Around Malshej Ghat..

Malshej is a great destination with many im[portant forts and temples very closeby. There are two Ashta vinayak temple in the vicinity of Malshej. Shivneri - Shivjanmasthal and one of the most important forts in Maharashtra is just an hour away from Malshej. Nane Ghat and the Jivdhan fort is in the other direction from Malshej ghat,

In the past commercial routes used to be guarded by huge forts. Naneghat was a prominent trade route in the past and was guarded by Jivdhan, Hadsar, Mahishgad & Chavand. Jivdhan lies at the mouth of Naneghat, and is quite a tough trek. Jivdhan is famous for the pinnacle Vandarlingi.

Harishchandragad is a good destination for trekking and camping. The popular base village for Harishchandragad trek is Khireshwar village however there are a few other villages Harishchandragad trek like Pachnai or Kothale. Harishchandragad trek is one of the difficult and long treks and is not recommended for summers.
