Chikhaldara is a tiny hamlet with few shops and hotels spanning just a few sq kms however Chikhaldara has lots to offer to see in and around it. Apart from the magnificent waterfalls at Bhim Kund there is Devi point and lake, Hurricane Point, Prospect Point and the Malavya point or the sunrise point which are vantage points in Chikhaldara offering magnificent views of the valleys...
Vairat point at a distance of about 10 km. from Chikhaldara is also called sunset point. Vairat point at 1140 mts above sea level is the highest point in the Melghat tiger reserve. There is an underground temple of godess Vairat however its very difficult to reach the original temple.

A southern offshoot of the Satpura hill range Melghat Tiger Reserve, also called the Gavilgarh hills, was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1974. The reserve spreads over 1676.93 sqkm with Gugarnal National Park as the core of the sanctuary. of tiger, leopard, sloth bear, wild dog, sambar, gaur, and many other speacies of wild fauna.
