Probably Maharashtra is the only state in central India with an established system of paragliding training and paragliding sites. For a trained individual there are many paragliding sites with perfect lift and landing sites along the ridges of Sahyadris like Panchgani Panshet Bhandardara and Chikhaldara . Panchgani is the unofficial head quarter of paragliding in Maharashtra with some very beautiful flying sites in Bhilar, Khinger and near Tapola.
