Mumbai to Panchgani

If you are travelling from Mumbai to Panchgani you may either take the NH 17 route which would be shorter by about 30 Kms or the route via Pune which has better roads. If you are taking the NH17 you will pass through Pratapgad, the historic fort of Pratapgad is just 5 kms off road and if you have time a visit to this picturesque fort surely is in order.  Mahabaleshwar which is under 20 kms from Panchgani is also enroute.
