Ganpatipule

Ganapatipule is a small village, 80 Kms from Velneshwar via Jakadevi temple, on the Konkan coast with a series of beaches and vantage points offering some stunning views of the sea. The Swayambhu Ganpati Temple, on the Ganapatipule beach itself is the primary attraction in Ganapatipule that draws thousands of pilgrims every year to this village. The tranquility of the temple percolates in the whole village and there is an aura of peace to Ganpatipule which is hard to miss.

Guhagar

Guhagar beach is one of the cleanest and less polluted beaches in Maharashtra. 26 Kms from Velneshwar the Guhagar Beach is 200 metres from Guhagar S.T. Depot. Guhagar beach is a safe, with many venturing in to sea for a bath. Off late chat stalls and small food stalls have come up near the beach. Guhagar with its white sand beach, offers every thing one looks for in a secluded beach.

Dapoli

Dapoli is land full of surprises, from archaeological sites of Panhalekaji caves to hotsprings of Unhavare Dapoli springs up all varities of interesting spots, the historic sea forts of Suvarnadurg and Kanakadurg the tranquil temples of Kadyavarcha Ganpati in Anjarle; to the awe inspiring fish auctions at Harnai. Dapoli is 80 Kms from Velneshwar across the Vashishti river via the Dabhol jetty.

Diveagar is on one end of the three Raigad beaches - diveagar Shrivardhan and Harihareshwar. Dighi is a 15 mins drive from Diveagar from where you can visit the famous Murud Janjira. Temples in this region is very famous and Harihareshwar is popularly known as the Dakshin Kashi. Shrivardhan beach is a small cove with a very calm sea and unlike Diveagar is a flat beach.

Hedvi a jagrut devstan with the Shree DashaBhuj Laxmi Ganesh Temple is just 5kms ahead of Velneshwar. This ‘Laxmi – Ganesh Temple’ is not only ancient but also rare with a 10 handed idol. "Brahman ghal" is a interesting spot where water gushes up a rock cut gorge. end.

Anjanvel-Lighthouse

The Anjanvel light house about 14 kms from Guhagar ST bus stand is a nice place to visit escpecially in the evening. Rebuilt in 1960s this light house is perched upon a steep hillock. Though not very tall (30ft) the view from atop the light house is great. Tolekeshwar Temple is located near the lighthouse.
